We Can Achieve The Global Goals

Updated: Jun 13, 2023

The Global Goals also known as The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have taken an interesting turn over the years with more and more individuals and organizations incorporating the goals into their agendas.

However, as with anything, it is not enough to give a little push and recline afterward. Consistency in working towards these goals will bring about reaching the maximum achievement of them that we desire.

To achieve the SDGs or Global Goals, we must not just take one or two steps and call it a walk. To make them sustainable, we have to take steps that will fuel their continuity.

Our conscious efforts to achieve the goals and carry out required activities should not be a one-time thing. Our continued participation and engagement in the goals would ensure long-lasting results.

The Global Goals for Sustainable Development

How do we achieve these global goals?

The little changes we make to bring about social development must be done consistently, even when we do not see the mark of change. Eventually, with more and more cooperation our 'little drops of water' will in time 'make a mighty ocean.' With more and more cooperation, the global effects of our little steps will emerge.

For the SDGs to be achieved in 2030, we need to double our efforts consciously and deliberately to meet the mark, and to overall create a global footprint for sustainable development.

To help our immediate community and the world at large, the attainment of the SDGs is at the core, therefore we should work to ensure that we take our place in history and play our part in creating a beautiful world with a developmental stride we want to witness in the coming years, and generations.

Queen 'Kwyn' Ernest is a writer, reader, serial volunteer, and a few more things in between. She is passionate about writing and speaking on social education, for children, teenagers, and young adults because she believes 'our psyche is our life'. She tests hurtful societal stereotypes and hopes to change them, ten words at a time. When she's neither writing, reading nor volunteering she's trying to figure out life and living, overthinking, or speaking her messy Spanish and pretending that she's an actress.
